Association For Communities Participatory Development strengthens communities in Ukraine by supporting cohesion, participation, and sustainable development. We provide resources and opportunities so that everyone has equal access to development and participation in the life of their community.

Enhancing municipal services: Implementing programs to improve educational and social services within communities

Fostering social cohesion: Establishing hubs, multimedia rooms, and coworking spaces to activate local communities

Integrating internally displaced persons (IDPs): Creating opportunities for socialization, employment, and education for IDPs

Strategic planning: Assisting communities in developing development strategies and actionable plans

Specialized trainings: Covering areas such as children’s rights, gender equality, inclusion, and spatial planning.

Leadership workshops for community leaders: Covering topics such as leadership, project management, financial literacy, and donor engagement.

Capacity-building for NGOs: Developing skills in strategic planning, communication, resource mobilization, project management, soft skills, and facilitation.

Educational programs for IDPs: Offering courses in entrepreneurship, career orientation, personal development, and adaptation to new environments.

Participatory governance seminars: Raising awareness about tools for citizen engagement in decision-making processes.

Specialized trainings: Covering areas such as children’s rights, gender equality, inclusion, and spatial planning.

Technical support: Providing equipment and supplies for educational and social infrastructure facilities.

Humanitarian hubs: Supporting infrastructure setup for comfortable accommodation of IDPs.

Targeted assistance: Helping vulnerable groups, including large families and IDPs.

Humanitarian aid: Delivering food, hygiene products, medications, and other essentials to communities in need.

According to the Law of Ukraine “On Associations of Local Self-Government Bodies”, communities can become members of the Association. In order to join, you need to: contact the Association via the e-mail listed on the website in the “Contacts” section; hold a meeting with the Association's team to discuss the terms of cooperation; and make a decision by the local government to join the Association. Membership in the Association also includes annual membership fees.
In accordance with our policies, we are actively working to ensure gender equality and implement open competitions for participation in events. To join the events, you should: follow the announcements on the website and social media of the Association; apply for open calls or register for events that interest you; if necessary, contact the Association's team for more details.
You can ask your question through: the feedback form on the website; e-mail of the relevant team member (depending on the area of interest); social networks of the Association. The team is always open to new ideas, suggestions and discussions of important issues.
Our uniqueness is the involvement of citizens in decision-making processes and the active implementation of participatory approaches. We adhere to the principle: “Nothing for us without us” and we promote the idea of participation of residents in local politics. We also pay special attention to: building trust between different social groups; expanding opportunities for community participation in decision-making; and the impact of our work on community capacity development.
